I had an amazing weekend! Baby was very good and we all went to the movies :) We had such a great time and let me tell you "Snoopy" wasn't bad at all.
First, my husband didn't want to go. He said it is a kids movie! :( but at the end he was the one enjoying it the most LOL... So we had lunch and dinner out too, it was great. When we came back home I had this forgotten bananas hanging in the fruit basket and I decided to make some delicious cake with them to top the weekend with something sweet :) Hope you like the recipe cuz we did =)
This recipe is very simple and don't need much ingredients either. So here is what you need:
- 1 cup self-raising flour.
- 1 cup caster sugar.
- 50g. butter, melted.
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla.
- 1/4 cup milk.
- 1/2 cup mashed banana.
First you need to preheat your oven to 350F. Spray your baking pan, I used 3-6" rounds. If you want you can use a loaf pan ;)
Then, sift flour into a large bowl. Stir in sugar, and make a well in the center.
Add butter, egg, vanilla, milk and banana. Stir until just combine.
Pour into prepare pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a skewer inserted into center comes out clean. Set aside in pan for 10 minutes to cool slightly. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
You can decorate this yummy cake the way you want. I'm using some whipped cream and fresh bananas to decorate. And seriously... It make the weekend ! Enjoy !
