Hope you all had a wonderful New Years !
Prosperity, Wealth and Success is what yellow symbolize for the beginning of a New Year.
So here is little yellow for you guys just because I wish you the best for 2016 :) what a better way to start this year with a flower tutorial and these Sweet pea look fabulous !
For these gorgeous flowers you will need:
- Spatula
- Water and brush
- knive
- Ball tool
- Rolling pin
- Circle cutter
- Calix cutter
- Floral tape
- 22 gouge wire
- Foam
- Yellow and green gum paste
Then with the ball tool slightly ruffle the edge of the oval. Now from the second circle we will get the steam and petal. Cut about 1/3 of the circle and set aside. The 2/3 of the circle will be our petal. Place it on the foam and slightly ruffle the round edge, not the flat one.
For the steam roll the 1/3 part of the circle you cut before into a ball. Then insert the wire which already has a loop on one end until the hook is buried. Then roll the ball between your fingers until you get an oval shape, and with the spatula me an crease in the middle.
Now here is a little trick for you... you can adjust how open you want your sweet pea to be by pinching the back with your fingers.
The flower is almost done :) now roll the green gum paste and cut a calix for your flower. Put a little water in the center and run it trough the wire until you reach the flower and place on top. Let the flower dry completely. And now is done ! you can arrange them the way you want using the floral tape. Enjoy !
Very nice tutorial. You can get the center, and petals all with just two cutters and a couple tools to soften and cut. Very lovely too. Blessings for the New Year. :)
